Use Multiple iPads

Did you know you can use multiple iPads with ONE Control Pro? You can expand your MCU DAW controller to have a huge array of parameters at hand(s!).

For example, you might want to use your MCU controller to use the extended (XT) option.

To use more than one iPad, it is necessary to create one additional MIDI Network session for each XT and configure the DAW accordingly.

Here's how:
On your Mac or Windows PC you need to create one MIDI Network Session for each iPad that will be used: one for the main Mackie unit, and the others for the XT units. (Suggested name for the sessions would be MCU Main and MCU XT 1/2/etc.). See the tutorial on how to create MIDI Network sessions.

Then:

1. In ONE Control on the first iPad create a regular DAW controller for the main unit.

2. To create XT units, select XT when creating the DAW controllers on the other iPads.

3. Then you’ll see the extended controller:

4. In each controller MIDI settings, select a different MIDI Network Session from the ones created above.

5. In your DAW, add as many control surfaces needed for the main and XT units. For each control surface select as input/output port the corresponding MIDI Network Session.
