Presets

ONE Control 1.2 introduces, among many other features, Presets for Modular Controllers.

What are Presets?

Presets are basically snapshot of the state of all the components and parameters of a controller. For each controller you can store up to 128 presets, numbered from 1 to 128, and recall them with a tap. Presets are automatically saved in the Controller itself.

ONE Control has some great features with Presets that will add speed, accuracy, and convenience to your music production. Read below for a walk-through of these easy, time-saving features.

Save a Preset

To create a Preset of the current state of your controller, first you need to open the Presets panel by pressing the Dot on the right of your controller’s name in the toolbar.

In the Presets panel, touch an empty slot to create the Preset.

Recall a Preset

Recall a Preset by opening the Presets panel and touching a non-empty slot.

When you recall a Preset, all the automation action of each component will be executed. Therefore all the MIDI/OSC messages will be sent, reflecting the state of the saved Preset.

Update a Preset

After a Preset has been saved, if you move some components, you’ll see a small dot near the Present number in the toolbar. This means that your controller no longer reflects the saved state. Long press the Preset’s number to save the updated version of the Preset.

Delete a Preset

In the Presets panel, long press on a non-empty slot and select Delete.

Some considerations

When recalling a Preset, ONE Control first sends Program Change messages, and then all the other types of messages. This way you can control the state of your destination devices/plugins/apps after their patch has been changed.

Some devices, especially external gears, might react slowly to patch change messages or sysex. Therefore is typically a good idea to add a Pause action after such commands.
